Question 10

What equipment does our mosque need?

A phone with internet is enough to start. For a bigger screen add a TV with a browser, or a streaming stick. Print the QR code for the entrance. See the blog post What your mosque needs to use Minbur .

Question 11

Can we run everything from a phone, without a laptop?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Going live, live audio, the QR code and recording cash gifts all work on a phone. Preparing long sermons is easier on a laptop, so prepare them ahead of time.

Question 12

We only have one screen, or none. What can we do?

Accepted Answer

Print the QR code or share it by email and social media. Worshippers scan it and read the sermon on their own phones.

Yes. The speaker needs one internet connection, for example a phone with mobile data. Listeners use their own mobile data. Reading text uses very little data.

Question 14

I joined late. Can I see what I missed?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When you open the app during a live sermon, the recent lines appear so you can catch up. After the sermon, find the full text in the Archive tab.

Question 16

I cannot read well or have poor eyesight. Can I still use Minbur?

Question 17

The TV shows no pairing code. How do I pair it again?

Accepted Answer

A TV remembers the last mosque it was paired with, so it skips the code screen. To get a new code, open tv.html?pair=1 in the TV browser, or press 0 (or P ) three times on the remote. Type the new 6-digit code in TV pairing on your Dashboard and press Pair TV . Codes last 30 minutes.

Question 18

In the demo, going live starts and then stops. Why?

Accepted Answer

The demo sermon is short, so it used to end after the last line. It now repeats for up to 30 minutes, until you press Stop . Pair the TV from your private demo room. Other changes in the demo are not saved.
