Question 1

Which payment methods can I use?

Accepted Answer

Each institute lists the methods it accepts on its donation page, for example bank transfer or CliQ. Online card payments will be added later.

Question 2

Can I donate directly from my local bank account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Choose bank transfer to see the account name, IBAN and SWIFT details that the institute publishes, then send your transfer and keep the receipt.

Question 3

What is a sponsorship?

Accepted Answer

A sponsorship lets a family dedicate a sermon or a day of prayer. Ask your institute through the Contact page; online sponsorship is coming.

Question 4

Will I get a donation receipt?

Accepted Answer

Receipts are issued by the institute. Give your email when you donate and ask the institute treasurer for a statement.

Question 5

I made a payment mistake. Who can help?

Accepted Answer

Contact the institute treasurer using the contact details of your institute. The platform cannot reverse bank transfers.

Question 6

I found a problem in the app. Who do I tell?

Accepted Answer

Use the Contact page of the Minbar website and describe what happened.

Question 7

Do I need an account?

Accepted Answer

No. Reading and listening are free without an account. An account only keeps your bookmarks on every device.

Question 8

How do I change the language?

Accepted Answer

Use the language list at the top of any page. The screen changes at once and your choice is remembered.

Question 9

Why can I not hear the speaker?

Accepted Answer

The speaker may have switched live audio off. You can still read the lines and use the Listen button.

Question 10

What equipment does our mosque need?

Accepted Answer

A phone with internet is enough to start. For a bigger screen add a TV with a browser, or a streaming stick. Print the QR code for the entrance. See the blog post What your mosque needs to use Minbar .

Question 11

Can we run everything from a phone, without a laptop?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Going live, live audio, the QR code and recording cash gifts all work on a phone. Preparing long sermons is easier on a laptop, so prepare them ahead of time.

Question 12

We only have one screen, or none. What can we do?

Accepted Answer

Print the QR code or share it by email and social media. Worshippers scan it and read the sermon on their own phones.

Question 13

Our mosque has no Wi-Fi. Can people still follow?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The speaker needs one internet connection, for example a phone with mobile data. Listeners use their own mobile data. Reading text uses very little data.

Question 14

I cannot read well or have poor eyesight. Can I still use Minbar?

Accepted Answer

Use A+ for larger text, the contrast button for a clearer screen, and the Listen button to hear each line read aloud. If the mosque turns on live audio you can also hear the speaker.

Question 15

I joined late. Can I see what I missed?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When you open the app during a live sermon, the recent lines appear so you can catch up. After the sermon, find the full text in the Archive tab.
